I didn't really know exactly what I was seeing. Here were some of the questions and thoughts which must have popped into my head.
Bizarre use of trains to connect the entire city in this orbital pattern and then build freeways that criss cross the city in haphazardous manner.
Headsets exist for police and soldiers. They can't outwit a guerilla warfare unit consisting of 5 people.
Super advanced technology like control of mako energy and yet you have this dinky rocket ship that neverflew.
Guns the size of cities and yet monsters still exist.
I think the essence of steampunk is that everything is actually really smart and advanced science however the people in the world are lazy for some reason. They hang out in cafes to ooh la la about their past and then the ideas that turned out okay end up getting retrofitted to junk instead of creating a world of new technology.
