I think since the US bombed Afghanistan there is further moral or ethical impetus for them (and it's supporters) to take in refugees from those areas
And this bombing is going to further radicalise Muslims who are on the fence, it gives them a reason to hate the West.
What do you think?

What do you think? Blowback is real. Osama Bin Laden was trained by the CIA. Some high cheekboned sob must have made fun of his cheekbones and he be like "But I'm a prince of the middle East!" That's how it got started.

I think so too. If you're going to bomb Afghanistan than you sure as hell should take responsibility for all the refugees and displacements/casualties you create. What actually happens is the surrounding MENA countries take in the bulk of the refugees and its problems, with Europeans trailing far behind and Americans barely taking any. Some of the anti-refugee feelings in Europe are justified but unless they actually campaign to end all wars and get NATO/US OUT of the Middle East and the rest of the world, it's not going to stop. If they support western military intervention, i.e. occupation and regime change then they're just extremely hypocritical. What Europeans experience is nothing compared to what neighboring ME countries experience and Americans should be the last people to comment about an 'overflow of refugees' when they're the biggest creators of refugees. I see a disturbing irony when they act like taking in a few hundred refugees is such a great act of kindness and how third world nations (who have no involvement whatsoever) should play the part and clean up their sh*t.
The biggest reason Americans act so gung ho about war as a solution is because they can act big and tough knowing their home soil is safe... you can bet the tone would change to complete pacifism if there was another super aggressive country/countries that could completely annihilate them without any taking any damage. Their attitudes towards war is nothing short of disrespectful as well, I remembered on quora some person talked about going to the Korean DMZ with a bunch of Americans tourists and the Americans flat out told the tour guide how they saved Korea (I think he also mentioned how they talked about killing Norkies) and how Koreans should be grateful with the USA, USA, USA BS. In contrast German tourists were much more respectful, solemn and sympathetic.
Yes, I am American too but that's why I don't support any more war in any unjustified Syria if all there is to it are restricted aerial/drone bombings. And by unjustified I mean war carried out without any strong evidence of atrocities committed by the Assad regime.
