Here we see some monstrous Asian with Orc like features achieved through makeup, a Manchu queue hairstyle, completely dehumanised and shown to be brutally alien and scary, and given a generic "Chinese" sounding name. The actor Michel Qissi is actually half Belgian and half Moroccan. Not to mention that kickboxing is more of a Thai thing. So basically it's this yellowface character with a Hong Kong Chinese name, a Manchu hairstyle, that does Thai martial arts. This story is set in 1989 which makes the hairstyle even more inappropriate. But dat ~exotic Asian foreigness weird ugliness~    |
