Chinese had to institute one child policy. This has become a cultural norm in the modern sense. To cull your numbers or suffer overpopulation consequences.
Chinese had built its great wall throughout the centuries that the tradition which was maintained shaped the wall itself to become a cultural icon. This icon has entered into the mind of American leaders through movies like The Great Wall and influences them to build great walls of their own to provide protection for its people.
Chinese have always been in possession of megastructures which is the reflection of being in control of strategic abundance, be it the treasure ships of Zheng He, the great wall, some Buddhist statue, or some mega trade network/mega scale shopping centers. These have all had been critical in the success of China's state of affairs as well as in the success of its peaceful rise.
Chinese are known for eating healthy and the mindset of this healthy eating has reach the west in hypnotic fashion. I think anything you hear about healthy eating like more tofu, more soybean, more rice and fish are the result of Chinese people telling fat westerners that they can clean up their diet.
In terms of the modern business attire, that may be western. However people are not at work 24/7 and there are times for leisure and rest whose fashion trends are dominated more by Chinese patterns of thought. People don't wear a business suit and tie while exercising, rather they wear something loose and airy like a Hanfu.
I have always said that the Chinese are a people of artistic inclination, leisure, and are about traveling and enjoying the little things in life. Chinese culture since ages past included the maintenance of parks and national reserves with these being official government posts of managerial duties. The proliferation of these ideas in the west are evidenced by the ever growing capacity to create new food trends served in fancy theme styled restaurants, and the advertising campaigns encouraging Americans to travel the states and to fulfill their obligated visitation of the national parks (fulfilled in most cases for children by their government funded field trips).
In the field of entertainment, all the choreography presented in modern day action movies are a direct result of Chinese choreographed kung fu influences. Without Chinese kung fu style cinematography I doubt the west would have came up with the idea to film extensive action sequences on its own.
