What happens exactly? Are there high levels of harmful bacteria in there that would make you sick and feverish? I think I accidentally ate a small piece. I may have stepped in poo and when I retied my laces my fingers touched upon some poo that was on the laces. Then I proceeded to eat my fries. So yes I may have accidentally ate a small piece.

My laces were kind of wet. It may have been because as I stepped in some poo the laces got stepped into it as well. I should have thought something was odd when my foot slid a bit and I almost fell. It wasn't loose laces, it was slippery poo.

You'll be okay. Your stomach and immune system can handle trace amounts of shit. This is why eating with cutlery might be better. I carry a pair of wooden disposable chopsticks in my backpack when I go travelling or dining, just in case. I don't want to eat a piece of poo. And actually there is a weird poo eating fetish called scatophillia. These people seem to be fine. But that's fresh poo so I don't know if it's more or less dangerous but it's nasty as fugg.

Thanks for the reassurance. Here are some other things I observed. I did feel my stomach to be in pain for about a couple hours. I tried to vomit and the acid reflux introduced the bacteria into my esophagus and lungs. My throat hurts and I am constantly feverish now. I think I might need some kind of antibacterial regimen? or will this clear up on its own?

I thought that it typically takes two to three days for symptoms to show, but I believe that is more for colds and flu. I dunno about food poisoning, I remember reading if you get food poisoning the effects are quite immediate. You would have already vomited and / or had diarrhoea etc. So did those things happen?

I dunno about food poisoning, I remember reading if you get food poisoning the effects are quite immediate. You would have already vomited and / or had diarrhoea etc. So did those things happen? Yes you are right. I tried to vomit after I felt my stomach to be in great pain. And this was after I ate my fries along with poo. It felt as if I ate something that was needly and prickly in my stomach. But by that time I had already digested it rather completely that all I was left was its acid reflux. I should have vomitted at the first sign of pain rather than keep on waiting. So by that time I was already feeling kind of down and dehydrated. When I got to bed I was still feeling okay but when I woke up I had a fever and sore throat. Now it has been a few days. I think the fever is gone but now my throat is still kind of sore and the infection has gone "deeper" into my lungs and became something like bronchitis. I think it will just clear up on its own in a couple weeks.

I think it will just clear up on its own in a couple weeks. I've never really heard of pathogens from poo entering the lungs but that's an interesting thing to happen. Apparently you can get feverish / flu / irritation of eyes nose chest lungs etc from breathing in airborne fecal matter: webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:tDy_7b0nsSAJ:https://phc.amedd.army.mil/PHC%2520Resource%2520Library/AIR%2520QUALITY%2520-%2520FECAL%2520MATTER%2520FINAL%2520Mar%252004.pdf+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&client=safariBut in your case it is solid form so yeah that could have happened as you described (pathogens entered respiratory system). It might have been better to leave it in your stomach because the acid might have killed it off. Because how on earth do those people who derive sexual gratification from eating poo survive? So I think what you posted was considered erotica.

It was accidental for me. For those people you mentioned it probably sounded like a intentional and wayward poo journey.

You can get violently sick from invisible tiny traces of crap. There can be millions of e.coli bacteria there

If you feel that there are issues with your lungs and it is still affecting you, seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY. This might be related to eating poo or it might be something more serious and lung diseases are notoriously difficult to treat/dangerous.

I think I will just be more careful about washing my hands before eating to avoid contaminants.
