I was bumping this Chinese song and it got to this point of an "advanced singing technique". It's kind of this wavering pitch quaver voice. I thought it was like an advanced singing technique that goes beyond the norm of just wavering your voice between two notes in a sustained smooth pattern. This is more like pitch quaver yodeling like many mini yodels bunched together. I turned up the volume when it was getting to that part and this other car pulled up and the guy driving inside was listening to his own western music. But mine got to the part where it used that advanced singing technique. I felt proud for a brief moment and then the guy in the car said "Ugh!" in this really loud voice.
I don't think westerners like advanced singing techniques. They think it's really artsy fartsy or something.

I think he went Ugh because he couldn't stand your music was better than whatever he was playing which is probably something basic as fugg Also which bit would you consider the advanced singing technique portion of the song?

The Han Chinese man singing bit. He was singing about his future and questioning about it and he had a pitch quaver which expressed his confidence about the glory of his future. It's at 2:42. But seriously this song had quite a bit of advanced singing technique. I saw another video where two women tried to mimic the singing techniques and it was really difficult for them even though they had sung for quite a while.
