In addition to getting a stainless one I was also thinking about getting something like this eldertree; Will using this in the most basic and realistic manner, for proportioning very tough meat allow me as a Chinese to depropriate the appropriation by the westerners who view this sort of thing with sounds of "hiyahhh or wuaaaaahhh" as they wave these items in the air performing air duels? Or will it make me sink to their level? And which dynasty's sword do you think has the best aesthetics?

Those are beautiful blades I think it could really channel a Sinitic aesthetic if you use it to cook Chinese food. I think as Chinese people we are allowed to make Kung Fu noises in a dignified way. The best blades I saw was the Ming dynasty narrow sword. I'm not sure of the name in Chinese. I think stuff before Ming has mostly rotted away and are reconstructions based on book descriptions? Anyway I saw this infographic with Chinese swords and labels a while back I'll post it here later
